hi this is my first question so anyway…
ineed help im doing a running course on thursday and its a straight row dunno how many meters .
how can i come first is there anything i need running shoes, yoga anything!!!!!
oh and finaly does drinking a energy drink help b4 a race and do runng shoes help

running shoes are a must. the lighter the better
energy drinks are 100% crap. they do more harm than good. Go for Powerbar Gels. eat them 30 minutes before you run.

I am just wondering if anyone has a son under 2 that was diagnosed with verbal apraxia. I am wanting to know what signs there were, and how they have progressed since the diagnosis.
My son is 16 months and very alert and super smart. He has said a few things once or twice and then never said them again. He does not say anything consistently, but he has said mama and dada pretty often. He points to everything, but does not really attempt to say much. He can follow instructions, puts stuff in trash- gets his shoes when asked, stuff like that. We are having a speech therapist evaluate him in the next 2 weeks, but I would like to hear opinions from people who have been there done that and came through it.
they may not be able to "officially" diagnose at an age younger than 3, but they can pretty much figure it out. My son started speech at 27 months old. By the time he had been in speech for maybe a month his therapist was saying apraxia or aphasia. she did an informal test last week and said that he does have signs of apraxia. there are certain tongue movements that they need to be able to make, and he can't. Have you ever seen your son lick his upper lip? the corners of his mouth? can he stick his tongue out and point it towards his nose, his chin? My son can't do those. He can stick it out, but can't move it around.
when they evaluate speech they do it in 3 parts. Comprehensive (understanding), expressive (communicating what they want/need) and "total". My son scored right on age level for comprehensive, but 12 months behind on expressive. his "total" language score was still about 9 months behind. it sounds like your son is at or above age level in comprehensive, but maybe behind in expressive.

I practice yoga and would like a lotus flower on my foot closer to the ankle. I understand the pain levels cuz I have 2 other tats but am concerned about it wearing off and having to be redone. I'm usually barefoot or in flipflops and occasionally tennis shoes. If there's nothing rubbing the skin I figure it will last longer.
I have a star on my foot close to my ankle & its been there for almost 3 yrs. I tan, go out in the sun & do all sorts of stuff & it hasnt worn or faded yet! But alot of it fading might depend on what color you get. Mine is just plan black. I hope this helps! Good Luck
