Is Dhoni so bad?

Irate fans of Sourav Ganguly burnt an effigy of BCCI president Sharad Pawar as protests erupted in the metropolis over the former skipper being sacked from the national squad for the coming Triangular series in Australia.

Incensed at Ganguly being kept out of the team, around 40 cricket buffs gathered near his residence at Behala and raised slogans against the selectors and Pawar.

They set fire to an effigy of Pawar and beat it with shoes and chappals.

"Bring dada back", demanded the fans, holding posters and banners.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) described Ganguly's sacking as "grave injustice" and said it would lodge a strong protest to the BCCI.

"What has been done is totally wrong, grave injustice is being done to him", says CAB joint secretary Samar Pal.

"It seems Dhoni did not want him in the side. Dhoni is more comfortable with juniors so he is in favour of axing seniors. But we will not sit idle. We will lodge a strong protest", Pal said

Dhoni thinks that he can repeat the same perfomance with his young fellows like the one in 2020 but this is another ball game where Australians and Lankans have an edge.Australians are the world champions playing at home and Lankans with Murlitharan are pretty strong and this is were Indian need players like Ganguly,Laxman and Dravid.You definetly should be future oriented but you are also playing to win atleast one of them definetly should have played.

    Thanks for the info news inside of India.
    Captn Dhoni probably thinks Sri Lanka will lose badly to new Indian cricketers maybe, thats why he decided Prince of Kolkata & Dravid don't belong in the squad for the Tri series
    VS Sri Lanka & Australia.

    in my humble opinion all sachin, dravid, ganguly, and laxman are no longer what they used to be so now is the time to find their replacements. The current tour is a best place to try out the new talents. Thank you all old stalwarts but we have to move on and look towards the future.

    One thing i will add about Dhoni that some time he try to prove himself over mature in terms of Cricket game.
    He is not playing as well as he was during start of carrier
    Just recall only one 20-20 match India have lost and that is due to Dhoni against Newzeeland in world cup because of his poor strick rate.

    It is so simple… Adventurous, younger and quicker players to play ODIs… And experienced and cool players to play test matches…
